Less Than One Week, The Journey Begins

It seems so crazy to think I have less than one week until I move to Ireland for 9 months. I wish I could say I am completely prepared but that would not be entirely honest. This summer has flown by and I have loved working at the U.S. National Whitewater Center as a Land Sports Guide. So many hours later and yesterday was my last day working at USNWC for the summer; it was very bittersweet. No one told me how hard it would be to pack 9 months worth of clothes into two checked bags and a carry-on. I never realized how much of a hoarder I was until I began purging my room and had to sort my belongings into taking to Ireland, keeping but not taking, and willing to part with. Several arguments later and I parted with quite a bit of clothing and tons of knick knacks I had no idea I had. Now begins a new adventure.

I felt very loved being surrounded by my family and friends last night at my going away party. I received so many gracious gifts and encouraging notes that show how much love and support I have in my life.
